Exercise EW28: Strengthening abs & back

Goal: Strengthening of muscles of upper body and shoulder

Accessories: Stepper (about same height as Galileo device)

Preparation: Place piece of Yoga mat on-top of Galileo

Parameters: Frequency: 22-37 Hz / Position: 1.5-2.5 / Duration: 1-2 minutes

Procedure:
Posture: From the quadruped position put the weight of the upper body onto your straight arms, place your knees in shoulder width on the Yoga mat on-top of the Galileo (with the Yoga mat it io smore comfortable for the knees). Distribute weight evenly between hands and knees. Keep back and head horizontal in one line.
Movement: Lift one arm to the horizontal line. (Hand with thumbs towards the ceiling). Keep you center of gravity in the center of the body by tensioning abs and glutes (try not to shift your weigh toward the supporting arm). Hold this position for about 5 to 10. seconds then slowly back to starting position and repeat for the other arm.

Repetitions: Repeat exercise 2-3 times with a pause of 1-3 minutes in-between.

Tip: What most people don’t know: this is the ideal abs training, because the most important function of bas is to stabilization. For very advanced users for intensive abs training use planking (exercise EW29).
