Galileo Training Exercise EW6

Exercise EW6: Calf stretching lunges

Goal: Calf Stretching

Preparation: Stepper (about same height as Galileo device) in-front of the Galileo to create an even surface

Parameters: Frequency: 16-18 Hz / Position: 1-2 / Duration: 1-2 minutes per leg

Procedure:
Posture: Wide lunge, orientation 90° rotated on Galileo, ancle joint on top of position 0, the other leg on stepper.
Movement: Bend forward leg and shift body weight forward towards the stepper, backward leg stays straight and loaded so allow stretching of the calf of the backward leg.

Attention: Heel must always stay in contact with Galileo to maximize the stretching effect!

Tip: The foot position on the Galileo can be shifted forwards or backwards by one position from the neutral position (ancle joint at position 0) to find your personal optimal – just give it a try! To increase stretching further you can increase the loading of the backwards foot by pulling the handle forwards/upwards.
